LX is a new art space that expands beyond the traditional gallery model. Since opening its doors in January 2019, LX is one of numerous recent cultural additions to the neighborhood and is named for its location on 60th street.

LX stages exhibitions by guest curators and collaborators, featuring works by both emerging and established artists. Founded by Louis Buckworth and directed by Cecilia Weaver, LX provides gallery-goers and collectors alike with individualized and varied experiences. It also offers advisory services in order to aid collectors in their creation and management of personalized and innovative collections.

Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, LX aims to capture the refinement of an uptown townhouse with the collaborative spirit of a downtown art space. Herringbone oak wood floors and archways paired with a curated selection of high-end design create an atmosphere of intimacy within the white walls of the exhibition space.
